A Little About This Space

Chapel Market’s laid-back East End charm is a welcome change of scene for the local Islington community. Traditional traders sell their fruit, veg and fish in the unpretentious street market six days a week. Once a shoe shop, the feature brick wall and mood lighting gives this retail space a raw but refined look.

THE CROWD

The market is busy with mums on their weekly shop and young professionals on their lunch breaks. The Farmers’ Market, which sells a wider selection of organic produce, brings the most people on Sundays from early midday until 2pm. Mondays are the quietest when the market is closed. Angel station is a few minutes’ walk.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

Next door is a Kodak Express and a bike shop. A few doors down is the pink Shake Gallery which sells quirky art, and Mercer & Co, the neighbourhood’s favourite salt beef bagel bar. There’s also a McDonald’s and Iceland opposite.

Rules of The Space

The space is taken as seen, so all decorative works needs to be conducted by the respective tenant.

Home Truths

The market stalls in front tend to block your view, but don’t hide behind it – a little colour or extra signage can make sure you're seen.

We don’t have a floor plan for this space yet, so don’t forget to take a tape measure to your viewing.

The market traders are known to be quite loud, so it helps to keep the doors shut if you can.
