Manchester's very own pop-up shopping, retail and leisure concept, Hatch, has opened on Oxford Road. And now you can rent one of their largest pop-up units under the Mancunian Way flyover for your retail concept.
Oxford Road sees plenty of students passing by with the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University nearby. Bars like The Deaf Institute and The Dancehouse mean that things don’t quieten down too much in the evenings. On weekends, the area's art galleries and theatres draw tourists and other locals. Oxford Road Station is a five-minute walk away.
Takk, the Northern Quarter’s Nordic-inspired coffee house, have taken on two units here: one for an espresso bar, the other for a nano brewery and keg bar venture called Öl. Oxford Road mainstays Eighth Day — a vegan co-op and café — and Archie’s burger bar (a student favourite) sit on the other side of the flyover. And Hatch has its own street food courtyard with a 12-weekly rotating line up to keep things fresh.
Opening hours:
Monday - Friday: 10:00 - 18:00
Saturday: 11:00 - 17:00
Sunday: Closed
There's the option to trade longer with permission from management.
No retail availability at Hatch until March 2019 until the scheme completes.
Hatch sits under the Mancunian Way flyover so there'll be a lack of natural light in the space, but the unit is well-lit.
