A Little About This Space

Welcome to Hatch: a rotating collection of creators, makers and street food traders under the Mancunian Way. Located on Oxford Road, this retail space to let gives you the chance to place your brand on the city’s busiest road.

THE CROWD

Connecting the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University with the city centre, Oxford Road sees plenty of students in the day as well as an abundance of office workers. Nearby bars like The Deaf Institute, The Dancehouse and Refuge mean that things don’t quieten down too much in the evenings either. The newly opened Manchester Technology Centre backs onto Hatch, bringing a new wave of tech entrepreneurs to the area. Oxford Road station is a five-minute walk away.

MEET THE NEIGHBOURS

The guys behind the popular Northern Quarter hangout, Takk, were the first to set up shop here. They've also opened a new nano brewery and keg bar, Öl, in partnership with local brewers Byrne the Cake. The student favourite Archie’s burger is on the other side of the flyover and Hatch has its own street food courtyard to cater to those looking for lunch or dinner.

Home Truths

No retail availability at Hatch until March 2019 until the scheme completes.

Hatch sits under the Mancunian Way flyover so there'll be a lack of natural light in the space, but the unit is well-lit.
