A Little About This Space

Found in the 3rd arrondissement, Le Marais is the historic and bohemian district of Paris. Close to Place de la République square and Arts et Métiers museum, the cobbled, narrow streets are lined with shops, cafes, bistros and art galleries. This bar and restaurant space sits on Rue du Vertbois, a quiet street, earmarked for new and exciting ideas.

The total space is comprised of two adjoining shops, which can both be accessed independently from the street. On the left, the space has large windows at the front and opens onto a bright room with stone walls and a red ceiling. This would be great as a main dining area or reception room. On the right, the adjoining room is large with exposed beams and stone walls. It is brightly painted outside, and has a fully fitted commercial kitchen at the back. Downstairs are two separate basements, so there’s plenty of storage space available.

With a growing selection of restaurants, Le Marais is becoming established as a great place to grab a quick lunch or enjoy a romantic dinner. From here, it’s less than a 5-minute walk to Temple or République Metro stations.

La Rue Nouvelle

If you're in the know then you call it NoMa, for short. The Northern Marais quarter, Haute Marais, is like the rest of the district when it comes to architecture and history. Once the swamplands of the city, the cobbled streets of Le Marais have been preserved – and there’s not a Napoleonic boulevard in sight. The 17th-century palatial buildings all remain intact. Although its streets are packed with art galleries, NoMa is no museum. Now more than ever, change up here is afoot.

Giving Le Marais’s artists, designers and bohemians a new place to play, Appear Here will be curating the spaces along the street, so you can be sure to be in good company. Join us as this once-grand neighbourhood forges a magnificent comeback – the vision is bigger than ever. New fashion. New food. New design. New ideas. Welcome to La Rue Nouvelle – new for 2016.
